Artist Influences

Every artist has been influenced by another.  Vincent Van Gogh and other Post-Impressionist painters were influenced by the woodblocks of Japanese artists such as Hokusai.  Rembrandt was influenced by Rennaisance artists such as DaVinci, Albrecht Durer, and Titian.

My primary influences are from the Impressionist and the Post-Impressionist painters such as Claude Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, and Seurat. I am attracted to the vibrant brushstrokes and vivid colors apparent in their works.  I have displayed some of my pieces beside those of some of my influences for comparison.
